1967 Jaguar E-Type 4.2 FHC

1967 Jaguar E-Type 4.2 FHC

Dark Green / Beige

Great original car with only 4 recorded owners from new. Loads of history. Recent major service. Rare opportunity.

SOLD to Switzerland

Very nice original car with 4 documented owners in a beatifull colour combination of Opalescent Dark Green with Beige interior trim.

The car comes with all its original documents, black plate, service history and hundreds of invoices and notes relating to its history.
There is too much to mention so here you will find a summary.

The car was supplied new on 16th of May 1967 to Gerald A. Williams, Van Nuys CA by Frank Millard Sports Cars, Encino CA.

Late 1972 it was taken in trade by McPeak VW/Porsche, Walnut Creek CA.
The car was then purchased by Dan York, Benicia CA, who garaged the car since purchase at a mileage of 55.646.

On the 4th of December 1983 the car was purchased by Peter Mitchell, Novato CA for the sum of $2500- This school teacher recorded every service, parts replacement, reconditioning work etc during its entire ownership.  Amongst others full professional engine rebuilds, reconditioned gearbox (original gearbox still with the car), uprated 3,07 rear axle replacing the 3,54 standard ratio and many many oil changes. There is a book full of notes of all the work done to the car plus hundreds of invoices.

In September 2003 the car was then purchased by its previous Dutch owner who only drove a limited number of miles in its 7 year ownership.

It is amazing to see how well documented this car is with even minor scratches en small dents recorded in the documentation.

The car benefitted from a recent major service with full cilinder head overhaul and is currently being run in again. It benefits from some usefull upgrades like the 3,07 axle ratio, mallory distributor and spin-on oil filter conversion. Many of the old replaced parts are still with the car.

This must be one of the best documented cars on the market today, a rare opportunity. The car with all its history files must absolutely be seen in real life to be appreciated. This car is looking for a new owner that will enjoy the history and appreciates the story of this car as much as we do at this moment.
