This car was produced on the 18th of February 1964 in Alfa Romeo Red (special colour) with black interior trim. Dispatched on the 9th of March 1964 through Belgian Motor Company, Bruxelles Belgium to its first owner.

During the entire production of the 3.8 series 1 E-types, at least 42 cars were finished in special paint colours. Some exotic colours like dusty orange, mushroom (beige), claret, cornish grey, ocean green, off-white were ordered. This is the only E-type known to have been finished by the factory in its special colour of Alfa Romeo Red, the colour it still wears today.

Furthermore this car was ordered with a special equipment Close Ratio gearbox.
