1966 Jaguar E-Type 4.2 FHC

Light Blue / Red

Beautiful example of the first series E-type FHC. Long term first Californian ownership, well documented and lovely original and unmolished.

SOLD to Austria

Beautiful example of the first series 4.2 E-type FHC in light blue with red interior trim.

Long term first ownership in Califonia from 1966 until 2003.

This E-type was built on the 24th of February 1966 and supplied through Jaguar Cars, New York, USA to Ronni G. Mobell, Hillsborough, California, who kept the car until 2003.

The car comes with its original Manufacturer’s Warranty Document that states it was supplied by Jim Cochrane British Cars Ltd. in Burlingame, California.

Also still available are the original Californian motor vehicle pollution control Certificate of Compliance and all State of California Registration Cards from 1966 up to 1994.

So here we have a very well documented car with long term first ownership. The condition is also truly unmolished and original.

Originally supplied in Opalescent Silver Grey with red interior trim, the car has only once been painted in its current Cotswold Blue color. The good news here is that the car was only painted on the outside, so the original paint is still intact in the engine bay, firewall, engine frames, inside of the bonnet and inside trunk area. Apart from retrimmed front seats and footwell carpets the interior trim is also fully original.

It is rare nowadays to come accross such a nice original unmolished car with well documented history that has not been completely restored during its life.

The last couple of years the car stayed in France from where it was imported into the Netherlands this year.

Well maintained over the past years and therefore in very good mechanical condition, extremely reliable and no work needed.

Currently on Dutch EU registration and comes with a Heritage Certificate. Matching numbers with 65850 miles on the clock.
