1964 Jaguar E-Type 4.2 FHC

Opalescent Gunmetal Grey / Black

Beautiful early 4.2 FHC in Gunmetal Grey. Matching numbers, on Dutch EU registration. Impressive service history.

SOLD to Switzerland

Very nice original car in a beautiful colour combination of Opalescent Gunmetal Grey with Black interior trim, matching numbers, currently on Dutch EU registration and comes with Heritage certificate.

The car was produced on 16th of October 1964 and is therefore one of the first 4.2 litre cars. It was then dispatched on 28th of October 1964 to Jaguar Cars New York, and through a local dealer supplied to its first owner J M Gorman, Costa Mesa, California.

The car was imported into the EU and purchased by its previous owner in Versailles, France in 1994. During his ownership of 17 years the car was serviced and maintained regardless of costs and all invoices are documented in the history file of the car.

Some major service includes a full professional engine rebuild, complete brake system overhaul, the fitting of a modern electric cooling fan and a tachometer in kilometres.

When we acquired the car it went through an extensive service and amongst others the car was fitted with new tires and an electronic ignition system. The car is now running great with a strong pulling engine and very good oil pressure.

The car is in a great original condition, has not been completely restored but always maintained very well troughout its life. This E-type is a perfect usable original car and is priced sensibly in todays market.

Please contact us at any moment to make an appointment to view this E-type in our showroom in Bilthoven, The Netherlands.
